rom an early age Dr. Scott Lundy had a deep interest in pursuing a career in healthcare. With a keen eye for detail and passion for working with his hands, Dr. Lundy knew a career in general dentistry would allow him to combine his technical skills and help others achieve a better quality of life with gentle dentistry. Although he was born and raised in Toronto, he has enjoyed making a home in Thousand Oaks and cycling in his free time. At Westlake Dental Associates he has enjoyed working alongside our fantastic and ever growing dental team since 2012. With special training and certification in sedation dentistry, sleep apnea treatment, orthodontics, implant and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Lundy looks forward to building many more positive memories in the community.
Education And Experience
Dr. Lundy pursued his interests in science and biology at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada, where he graduated with distinction, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry in 2005. He also received Honours Standing and became a Dean’s List Honouree in 2002-2005. He was awarded Doctor of Dental Surgery on June 12, 2009 from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, where he also graduated with distinction and received an Honours Standing and Dean’s List Honouree in 2005-2009. These days, Dr Lundy is still involved in organized dentistry as an advisor for the ADA Health Policy Institute, and the ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry (EBD). He also feels fortunate to advise and contribute to the development of new dental products and technology for select industry partners.
Dr. Lundy has been awarded the Dr. Sam Ioannidis Memorial for the top student in Restorative Dentistry. Following University, he began his dental career in the Thousand Islands district and worked in a family dental office in Kingston before moving to the warmer climate of Thousand Oaks. At Westlake Dental Associates, Dr. Lundy enjoys the patient-centered values that transform a general dental practice into a foundation of patient care and comfort.
