  • Do I Have To Come In Every Six Months?

Cavities, toothaches and even bad breath and gum disease are common culprits affecting oral health today. Although you may not see or feel the effects of tooth decay right away, a dentist has the unique skills and tools to save you the hassle of finding out the hard way. By practicing preventive care (such as with dental sealants, fillings and gentle cleanings) your dentist can reduce the chances that you may need complex or expensive dental care down the road. Timely checkups, paired with regular brushing and flossing, is a recipe for positive oral health.

  • What Is CareCredit?

For patients without dental insurance, CareCredit can be a convenient and versatile option. Under CareCredit, patients can make small payments over time, rather than all at once. CareCredit has no up-front costs, no pre-payment penalties and no annual fees. It also offers no-interest financing if paid within 12 months (additional plans may be available). Your CareCredit card can be used again and again for additional treatment for yourself or your family in any CareCredit practice, and members can sign up for it online.

  • Do I Need A Dental X-Ray?

Dental X-rays are an important part of the diagnostic process at the dentist and should be used only when necessary. At Westlake Dental Associates, our team uses digital dentistry and 3D Cone Beam imaging to create highly comprehensive virtual roadmaps of the mouth, bone, joints, gums and teeth, with up to 90% less exposure to radiation than traditional dental film. These images reveal changes in dental health in cutting edge detail, offering dentists the ability to provide the best forms of treatments, treatment planning and advice.

  • What Is A Cosmetic Dentist?

Cosmetic dentistry involves achieving more than just a beautiful smile. At Westlake Dental Associates, cosmetic dentistry includes services such as porcelain veneers, same-day CEREC crowns, contouring and bonding, teeth whitening, orthodontic dentistry with Invisalign and more. Smile makeovers have a dramatic effect on a patient’s sense of confidence and self-esteem, but an improved smile may also feel more comfortable and easy to care for and offer better functionality and overall health. Thinking of improving your smile? Contact our office to set up a consultation for cosmetic dentistry in Westlake Village.
