The Invisalign Treatment Process

The Invisalign treatment process is quite simple. The first step is to come in for a consultation with one of our doctors. Your teeth will be examined, and the doctor will use x-rays, images, or impressions to determine if Invisalign is right for you.

If you are a good candidate, this information is sent to Invisalign, where your aligners will be custom-made. Once they’re ready, you’ll come back to Westlake Dental Associates to pick up your first few sets and ensure the aligners are a good fit.

You’ll wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, 20-22 hours per day, removing them only when you eat and drink, and to brush and floss. Once the 2 weeks are up, just switch them out for the next set. You’ll also have regular checkups with the dentist every 4 weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing properly.

Most treatments require somewhere between 10-24 sets of aligners, so they are usually done in less than a year. However, this will vary based on your orthodontic needs.
